The National Museum in Arandjelovac, as the manager, is entrusted with the care of the Protected Area “Pećina Risovača”. As an important archaeological site of the Paleolithic age, Risovača has been declared a cultural asset of great importance, and due to its natural values - a natural asset of exceptional importance (natural monument of the 1st category).
Arranged according to all the principles of modern presentation, it receives over 20,000 visitors annually. Also, the famous place of Orašac, Kosturnica and Okućnica of Ilija Milošević fall under the jurisdiction of the Museum.
The pedagogical work of the Museum is one of the important segments of the work of curators and museum guides. Special attention is paid to educational workshops for children of preschool, elementary and high school age. In addition, workshops for adults, lectures, promotions of museum publications are also organized.
The museum is also engaged in publishing activities – catalogs of collections and exhibitions, monographs, guides for the Museum and Risovačka Pećina and other publications; In 2003, the Proceedings of the “Sumadijski Zapisi” Museum was launched.
