The Ministry of Culture and Information has approved funds for co-financing four more projects of the National Museum, in the fields of intangible cultural heritage and museum heritage.
The projects for which funding has been approved are: “Let’s Start with Bread” – a monograph on the culture of food in Šumadija; “Conservation and Restoration of the Tombstones of the Živčić Brothers (14th/15th Century) and Jovan Spahija (1633) from the Museum’s Archaeological Collection”; the realization of a thematic and multimedia exhibition “When Craft Was Golden” – about old crafts in our region; and “Trace in Stone – a Unique Museum of Outdoor Sculpture” – conservation.
Thanks to this funding, the Museum will continue its publishing and exhibition activities this year, as well as implement conservation projects. In addition to the tombstones from our archaeological collection, sculptures created at the “Beli Venčac” symposium, which are located in the park of Bukovik Spa, will also be conserved.
Together with the funds recently approved by the Ministry of Culture for projects in the fields of immovable cultural heritage and archaeological heritage, which you can find more about here, the total funding for co-financing our projects amounts to nearly 6 million dinars.
