Tonight, at the National Museum, the “Danko Popović” Literary Award for the year 2020 will be presented for the tenth time. This year’s recipient, Ivan Zlatković, joins the ranks of significant names in contemporary Serbian literature and is also the first winner of this award from Arandjelovac.
Since the establishment of the award in 2011, the following winners have been recognized:
- Voja Čolanović for the work “Oda manjem zlu,” 2011.
- Jovan Radulović for the short story collection “Sumljiva sahrana,” 2012.
- Drago Kekanović for the short story collection “Usvojenje,” 2013.
- Vladan Matijević for the short story collection “Pristaništa,” 2014.
- Vule Žurić for the novel “Republika Ćopić,” 2015.
- Slobodan Mandić for the novel “Očev novi mandat,” 2016.
- Radovan Beli Marković for the novel “Plava kapija,” 2017.
- Vesna Kapor for the short story collection “Venac za oca,” 2018.
- Dragiša Kalezić for the novel “Galerija Kirka,” 2019.
We remind you that the program, which starts at 7 PM, will feature the author and jury members, and excerpts of the text will be read by a dramatic artist.
