The exhibition of old and rare books from the collection of the National Museum, organized in cooperation with the National Library “St. Sava,” will be ceremoniously opened on Friday, December 21, at 6 p.m. in the library’s premises. The books on display were conserved at the National Library of Serbia as part of our museum’s project, financially supported by the Ministry of Culture and Information. The exhibition’s author is Senior Curator and Historian of the National Museum, Zorica Petrović.
About Old and Rare Books
The status of an old and rare book applies to all books printed in Serbia or in the Serbian language before 1867, when Vuk’s language reform was adopted in the Principality of Serbia.
